About a year ago I started having lower back pain. Over the next few months it progressed to where I couldn’t work out anymore. Then it started effecting my work and I couldn’t play with my kids because the pain was excruciating. I had never trusted chiropractors for some unknown reason in the past. I was in such pain that I decided to give the chiropractor a shot. I am very glad I came to Dopps Chiropractic Derby. I have tricare insurance through the Army which doesn’t cover chiropractic care, I was expecting the treatment plan to be a lot more expensive but it was very affordable. I appreciated the 5% discount for committing to care. The price of my treatment was very reasonable and a small price considering I would have paid anything to get back to normal. After about 2 weeks of care I began to notice a difference. I felt completely better after 4 weeks. Dr. Dopps was informative when going over my X-rays and took time to explain why commitment to care was so important. As it takes time to manipulate the spine back into place. Nicole, the receptionist is very kind and personable. The office and nice and clean. Our kids love the snacks in the waiting room! After I felt better, my wife decided to come too. She had upper back and neck problems. She thought the hump on her back would never go away but she stands up perfectly straight now and has no pain. We are so grateful for Dr. Luke Dopps for helping our family.

My husband was in a motorcycle accident years ago and fractured a vertebra in his lower back. He dealt with pain afterward, even after it healed, that made it hard for him to even get up in the morning. I had been hounding him for literal YEARS to see a chiropractor, because nothing else was helping. He finally caved and chose to see Dr. Luke. Since he started going, his back has been feeling so much better. He's able to get up and around in the mornings with much less pain and stiffness. From my own experience, I know that chiropractic treatment is more of a marathon than a sprint. The initial treatments may deal with the immediate issue, but you really need to go in for maintenance appointments so that you can avoid falling right back to where you were before. My husband has noticed this; if he goes too long without popping in for an appointment, the pain starts to get worse again. Dr. Luke worked with our insurance and the remaining that we have to pay is more than worth it for the quality of life it has given back to him. He's also very flexible with appointments, which has been wonderful. TL;DR: My husband has had a very positive experience going to Dr. Luke over the past year and would highly recommend him to others dealing with similar issues.

EDIT 1/17/2024 MY RESPONSE TO LUKE DOPPS REPLY TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW You said the treatment plan would take 6 to 8 weeks, 3 times a week. 6×3=18, 8×3=24. My insurance covers 25 visits. Why were you asking me to sign a paper for 33 visits? Why were you asking for payment up front? If my insurance covers 25 visits for free, why on earth would you ask for money and set up a payment plan for visits that have not happened, and are also outside the 18 to 24 visits you originally planned? That doesn't make sense. I have a degree in business. This is ultimately a contract. Good job getting rid of those other phone numbers. In just a few minutes of searching I did come across 2 other numbers to your practice and both have been disconnected now. I guess I searched before these sites had time to remove them. But they are (or were as of the time of this edit,) still showing up in search results. I would have no reason to make that up. But I can see your profiles have been updated as of January 2025, aka, today. One that has just been updated is your Yelp page. The bottom of the page has the main number you mentioned, but when I clicked the "call" button, the now disconnected number it dialed is 316-260-9775. That was right after you replied to my review. This was at 12:19 this afternoon. Yelp has updated that now. Now when you click the "call" button, it dials the main number you claim is the only one you ever had. Im glad you cleaned up all the extra numbers you had probably been unknowingly paying for. Either way, your multiple numbers is trivial and miniscule compared to the rest of my review. You can try to discredit my review and act like Im making things up, but thats not the case at all. You just admitted that if you could buy reviews directly from Google, you would. Nice. Having a big sign giving away free stuff in exchange for 5 star reviews is ultimately buying reviews, whether you admit that or not. I'll go ahead and attach a screenshot of your reply, stating that you wish you could and its unfortunate that you can't buy reviews directly from Google, in case you try to take that part out later. I'm betting that sign disappears from your office next. ORIGINAL REVIEW First off, they are basically buying 5 star reviews. You get free swag when you leave a 5 star review. Luke did x-rays the first day. The second day, he went over the x-rays with me. He said it would take 6 to 8 weeks, 3 times a week to treat me, possibly up to 10 weeks. THAT SAME DAY, 10 MINUTES LATER when I walked out of the room with Luke, I was handed a care plan for 33 visits. The receptionist said my insurance would cover 25 visits, so I could pay the remaining $339 right then and get a 5% discount, saving me $16.95. Or I could start a payment plan, which confused me. Why would you plan for 33 visits when the Dr said 6 to 8 weeks? And why would you ask people to pay you up front before going through the alloted visits covered by insurance? Now you're trying to get me to sign a contract for 11 weeks, before you even use the visits my insurance will cover? This is a contract they are trying to get you to sign. There is a place for your signature, and for a witness signature right below it. That is quite deceptive and shady. 6 to 8 weeks, 3 times a week is 18 or 24 visits. My insurance covers 25, but they try to get me to sign a contract for longer, before even starting treatment. I checked my insurance to see what claims have been made, and there had been none from them at all. I'm not sure why you wouldn't send claims as you treat someone, at the very minimum, weekly, but I had nothing. Last week, I told the receptionist to take me off the schedule, and I reminded her how many visits it had been. I will be watching my claims to make sure they charge my insurance accordingly. I also found 4 or 5 phone numbers for this one office in Derby. One was a Halstead number. Why so many numbers for an office that only has 2 employees total? 1 Dr., and 1 receptionist. Sorry, not sorry. This is an honest review that was not influenced by free stuff.

Dr Luke is amazing! Been coming here for well over a year. I suffer from major back pains from an accident & have never been able to be pain free until coming here. His receptionist is so nice & inviting every single time as well. Highly recommend!
