This company was AMAZING! The sales guy, Buzz was so helpful and talked through all of my options, making sure I understood everything. Then the technicians Pike, Sergio, and Marco completed the entire install. Pike explained every step, how the new vents would be placed, and made sure the space was spottless after work was completed! He showed us how to use the new thermostat and laughed at my Husband's jokes. Very nice guy! Sergio and Marco were in the attic working on the duct placement and then helping with the crane service for the AC once they were ready for it. Their boss Kevin also stopped by to let us know about regulations and the process and to check in with his team. Overall an excellent experience with this company!!!

We recently reached out to Day&Night for a quote on a new AC system. Our first unit, which was as old as our home—19 years—needed replacing, while the second unit, replaced by another company, never functioned correctly. The office conveniently set up a Saturday appointment, the only day we're both available at home. Mike Tufegdzic was the expert who visited us. He thoroughly inspected our existing system, highlighted various issues, suggested improvements, and provided us with estimates. After a detailed discussion and getting all our questions satisfactorily answered by Mike, we chose the best option for our needs.
Mike managed to arrange the installation just 5 days after his visit. The day before the installation, we received a call from Sky, who outlined what to expect and detailed the installation process. On the day of the installation, we were notified via text and a follow-up call 30 minutes before the install crew's arrival.
Punctually at 7:00 AM, the install crew, comprising Andrew, Pike, Jeff, Matt, and Sergio, arrived. They were not only highly professional but also very friendly. Before starting, they took the time to explain the entire installation process and made sure to protect our floors as they worked. By 3 PM, the installation was complete. We couldn't be happier with our new systems, wifi thermostats, and are eagerly anticipating the summer. The new system comes with a 10-year parts warranty, and we also opted for Day&Night's VIP plan, which includes 10 years of free labor among other perks. The entire procedure from contacting Day&Night to completion was incredibly smooth and was wrapped up in less than a week.

Service was excellent, communication was awesome, timing was amazing so overall it was a very good experience. The one thing I would say, is if the workers could just do a final inspection of the areas surrounding the house and clean up a bit better before leaving. I took one picture of empty water bottles left but there were a couple left behind. Porch should've been vacuumed as well and debris picked up in the shrubbery. Also found a screw driver in my driveway. Not a big deal, just my findings.
Would also be nice to have been left a few months supply of filters (just a suggestion :)

🛑 Overcharged for Plumbing Services
On December 18, 2024, I discovered a water leak under my home at a hose bib connection, as well as another leak at the back of my house. Since the latter was worsening, I decided to contact Day & Night Heating, Air, and Plumbing for assistance.
December 19, 2024:
The company sent Ron and Logan to assess the situation. Ron identified a split connection at the hose bib as the source of the first leak. He repaired it within about an hour and charged $421.50. Although the issue was resolved, this charge felt high for the amount of work required. Ron also checked the second issue and suggested it was related to my shower drain. He advised that their "drain team" could handle it.
December 26, 2024:
Casey (a supervisor) and Jeff arrived to inspect the shower drain leak. Before proceeding, Jeff informed me of a $450 diagnostic fee, which Casey assured would be waived if I authorized the repair. Reluctantly, I agreed, though the diagnostic fee seemed excessive for identifying a drain issue.
After about 25 minutes of inspection, Casey informed me that the P-trap under the shower drain was broken and needed replacement. He provided an estimate of $2,862.35, which was shocking to me. I hesitantly approved the work but requested an itemized breakdown. Casey stated their company uses a "flat rate" pricing model and could not provide an itemized invoice, which I found concerning.
Casey explained that additional help would be brought in to complete the repair and that the job would be finished by 5:00 PM.
Timeline of the Repair:
1:45 PM: Casey and Jeff left to gather supplies.
2:31 PM: Jeff returned, and Logan arrived shortly after.
3:24 PM: Logan indicated the repair was complete, and the water was turned on to check for leaks. No leaks were found.
3:51 PM: Jeff presented me with the final bill of $2,862.35.
Concerns:
The entire repair took 53 minutes to complete, with a total technician time on-site of 2 hours and 36 minutes. Based on the estimated cost of parts ($30–$100 with markup), this equates to an hourly labor rate of over $3,000. This charge feels exorbitant for what should have been a straightforward repair, which I believe should have cost closer to $600–$650.
Additionally, the flat-rate pricing structure lacks transparency and leaves customers without a clear understanding of how charges are calculated. I feel this pricing model takes advantage of customers, especially those unfamiliar with typical plumbing costs.
Recommendation:
I strongly encourage others to carefully research contractors and request itemized estimates before authorizing repairs. My experience with flat-rate pricing has left me feeling overcharged and dissatisfied.
